Craig Isaac
Craig Isaac was born and raised in Montreal, Canada and enjoyed the pleasures of spending summers playing baseball, golf, and hockey in the winter. He was able to develop a joy of pulling apart objects and combining other materials to create new uses.
The Fall of ’79 Craig left for Charlotte, NC to enter UNCC College of Architecture, while returning to Montreal for the summers to work with a Land Surveyor and spending Christmas breaks to referee Hockey.
May 1983 with a BA in Architecture from UNCC and a construction blight in Montreal, Craig stayed in Charlotte to work for Ball Stalker a Herman Miller Furniture Rep Office. Working with respectable Architecture firms in Charlotte until in May 1990, 35th Street Studio was formed for Residential & Product Design services.
September 1992, with North Carolina Board of Architecture registration expanded 35th Street Studio into Craig W. Isaac Architecture and the opportunity to provide Architectural services as a licensed architect.
Craig has a practical construction sense from experience of renovating older homes and was one of the original homeowners & Association Presidents in NODA when it started it’s rejuvenation as the Historic North Charlotte Neighbourhod and Arts District in the mid 80’s.
Our focus is Residential Architecture and goal has always been and will be to work with clients to create distinctive homes that will be a pleasant experience from schematic design through construction.
No project is considered too little or too large. Renovation or new Residence, the client defines the project and then working together, we create it for a lifetime of satisfaction.
